CAREPACE® TEMPORARY CARDIAC PACING WIRE

COMPOSITION:

CAREPACE® is a temporary cardiac pacing wire used to treat arrhythmias during and after open-heart surgery. It consists of twisted stainless steel, multi-strand wire, partially insulated with a sheath of orange polyethylene.

CHARACTERISTICS:

CAREPACE® has the following technical properties:

• Strength paired with flexibility.
• Electro-passive in tissue fluids.
• High conductivity, minimum tissue reaction.

INDICATIONS:

CAREPACE® is indicated for use as a temporary cardiac pacing wire to transfer electrical energy along its length between the external pacemaker and the patient’s heart for temporary cardiac pacing and intracardial ECG monitoring during and after open-heart surgery, for single use only.

CAREPACE® is contraindicated when permanent stimulation is required. The temporary cardiac pacing wire should not be used in conjunction with permanently implantable pacemakers.

NOTICE:

Sterilized by Ethylene Oxide (EO). Do not re-sterilize | reuse. Do not use if the package is opened or damaged.

STORAGE:

Recommended storage conditions below 25⁰C, away from moisture and direct heat. Do not use after the expiry date. Shelf life: 5 years from the date of manufacturing.
